Simply MaMa opened in the summer of 2002 at the Mission Mall, in downtown San Luis Obispo, California.

Owner Kathleen Huggins envisioned a maternity store where mothers could find stylish pregnancy clothing and nursing wear in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Simply MaMa offers a wide variety of maternity attire from name brand manufactures like Japanese Weekend, Maternal America, and Michael Stars, among many others. The staff at Simply MaMa, all mothers themselves, know how to assist pregnant women in picking out an entire pregnancy wardrobe or finding that one special maternity piece.

Aside from maternity wear, Simply MaMa offers everything you will need for your little one, including cribs and dressers, gliders and rockers, baby apparel, infant supplies, diapering and baby gear. We have expanded our baby attire line to include Under the Nile, Kissy Kissy and Kicky Pants.  We also have gorgeous vintage baby dresses and rompers. Simply MaMa is known for their collection of soft baby carriers such as Ergo and  Beco carriers, Moby wraps and Balboa slings. Beautiful and functional diaper bags in all price brackets are available, including Petunia Picklebottom, Oi Oi, Timi and Leslie, and Fleurville.

Additionally, we offer newborn bathing supplies, diapers and diapering supplies and swaddlers. Baby gear including "Tummy Tubs" and  the safest car seats and best strollers can also be found at Simply MaMa.

Nursing Mothers will find everything they need at Simply MaMa. We carry a wide selection of nursing bras, tops, nursing gowns and pajamas.  Our professionally trained staff are happy to fit you and assist you in finding the perfect nursing bra.

We offer a full array of breastfeeding products, including reasonably priced fully automatic electric rental pumps, pumps for purchase, as well as a complete selection of pump parts.  Nursing pillows, nursing stools, herbal remedies for nursing mothers can all be found at Simply MaMa. We now are offering custom ordered Dutailier gliders for your nursing comfort. And of course, you can always find copies of Kathleen's books!

Simply MaMa is open seven days a week. Stop in to introduce yourself to Kathleen, Naomi, Madison, Jessica, Shirley, and Sheri.  Mothers-to-be can come in anytime to just say hello. (You are also welcome to use our clean rest room.) If you need a friendly spot to change or nurse your baby, you're always welcome at Simply MaMa.
